How your report is made

How we calculate your chart, what the report is made of, and what we check the texts against.

The calculation

Your chart is made from the date, time and place of your birth: with the time zone and daylight saving time of the birthplace, the planetary positions at your minute of birth and at the Design moment about 88 days earlier. That gives 26 activations across the 64 gates, each with six lines. The planetary positions come from an astronomical ephemeris. We check our calculation with automated tests against fixed comparison charts.

What the report is made of

The report is assembled from 801 sections. Each section is written for exactly one feature: a Type, a Profile, a center in its state, a gate, a line, a channel, an Incarnation Cross. Your chart decides which sections appear in your report and in what order. Two people with the same feature read the same section for it. The report becomes personal through the selection and interplay of the sections, through your name and through your answers in the order form.

The English texts are translated from the checked German texts and reviewed against them, so both languages say the same thing.

What we check the texts against

The texts rest on the Human Design literature. For each section we record which passages in the books it draws on, and it is checked against those passages. These works underlie the texts:

  • Ra Uru Hu: The Complete Rave I'Ching. Gates, Lines, Positions, Themes, Crosses, Commentaries (2001)
  • Ra Uru Hu: Incarnation Crosses. The Global Incarnation Index (2002)
  • Chetan Parkyn: Human Design. Discover the Person You Were Born to Be (2009)
  • Christiane Tietze: Spirit und Design. Authentisch leben
  • Peter Schöber: Das Human Design System. Typus, Strategie und innere Autorität
  • Karen Curry Parker: An Introduction to Your Human Design Chart (2019)
  • Richard Wilhelm: I Ging. Das Buch der Wandlungen (1924)

What the report is not

Human Design is a system of interpretation for self-reflection, not a scientifically proven method. The report makes no diagnoses and does not replace medical, psychological or legal advice. It describes possibilities, not certainties. The experiments invite you to test for yourself what is true for you.
