Channel 27-50: The Channel of Preservation (A Design of Custodianship)
This channel is about care and preservation: it stands for nourishing, protecting and providing for others. This shows up as a sense of responsibility for those who are vulnerable, ill or still young, and the picture also includes social and caregiving professions. In this view, the channel is a place people turn to: those who need help often seek out people with this channel. The teaching warns against self-sacrifice. When you take good care of yourself, you also have something left over for others, and giving and receiving are meant to stay in balance. Help fits best when someone asks for it; you check with your Strategy and Authority whether to say yes. The idea behind this is that you aren’t taken for granted. At the same time, the urge to nourish carries its counterpart: the wish to be cared for yourself.
The two gates
Gate 27: The Gate of Tending, Nourishing and Caring
Nothing thrives without care and attention, and that is one way to describe the caring of Gate 27.
Gate 50: The Gate of Values
Gate 50 is about values that protect a community and hold it together.
The two centers
When this channel is defined, both centers are defined.
Sacral Center
Your Sacral stands for life force and stamina, which come into play mostly when you respond to something that speaks to you.
Spleen Center
Your Spleen speaks up spontaneously and only for the moment, and your Authority decides which signal takes the lead for you.
