Channel

Channel 28-38: The Channel of Struggle (The Search for Meaning)

This channel stands for endurance and for putting yourself on the line for what feels meaningful to you, even when you meet resistance. Here, stubbornness counts as a gift. Obstacles can stir up a determination to keep going and to try even what looks hopeless. Your path is individual, because you carry the risks and the consequences on your own, and the people around you often don't understand the struggle. It's important to know what is worth the struggle, or you can wear yourself out. When your gaze turns fully inward, you may barely notice others. That can come across as stubborn, but it isn't aimed at anyone. The struggle is rooted in the question of what life is worth and what meaning it holds; the teaching tends to see meaning where that question is lived honestly.

The two gates

Gate 28: The Gate of the Player

Is this fight worth it? Gate 28 stands for the search for meaning. It is about the question of whether a fight is worth it, and about finding a path of your own that makes life worth living.

Gate 38: The Gate of the Fighter

Taking on challenges and sticking with them stubbornly: this drive is called fighting spirit, and it belongs to Gate 38.

The two centers

When this channel is defined, both centers are defined.

Spleen Center

Your Spleen speaks up spontaneously and only for the moment, and your Authority decides which signal takes the lead for you.

Root Center

For you, pressure arises mostly from within.
