Channel 26-44: The Channel of Surrender (A Design of a Transmitter)
This channel is about transmission: bringing ideas, products and causes to people. Part of that is speaking the other person’s language and finding words that touch them. In this view, selling, negotiating and persuading belong to the theme of this channel. From the Spleen, you may get a sense of which ventures have promise; you use your Strategy and Authority to check whether and when to act. In the teaching, the channel is considered public and entrepreneurial, and willpower and memory can serve the community here. There is a tension between self-interest and the common good, and manipulative persuasion is seen as the shadow side. It can bring you the most joy when others recognize this gift in you and ask you to get to work.

Alertness to patterns is part of Gate 44. An instinct picks up on whatever links the present situation to something experienced before.

Your Spleen speaks up spontaneously and only for the moment, and your Authority decides which signal takes the lead for you.
