Channel

Channel 5-15: The Channel of Rhythm

This channel is about your own sense of time and your personal rhythm, meaning the inner knowing of when the timing is right. Your natural rhythm can fall out of step under other people's ideas, time pressure, or a pace that is not your own. When you live in your own flow, it often sets the rhythm for the people around you and carries others along, groups included. Your rhythm passes on to others even when you are not at peace with yourself at the moment. You decide whether and when to commit to something by following your Strategy and Authority. The channel is considered tantric, and its themes include order within chaos and trust in life. In everyday life, a good sense of timing shows up, for example, when appointments shift in a way that fits, or when waiting turns out to be worth it; here, rhythm does not mean punctuality.

The two gates

Gate 5: The Gate of Fixed Rhythms

With Gate 5, fixed rhythms take center stage. This is a pattern that stays in tune with natural processes.

Gate 15: The Gate of Extremes

Gate 15 stands for a life of extremes: sometimes a lot and sometimes a little, sometimes long sleep and sometimes short, sometimes eating early and sometimes late.

The two centers

When this channel is defined, both centers are defined.

Sacral Center

Your Sacral stands for life force and stamina, which come into play mostly when you respond to something that speaks to you.

G Center

Your identity and direction stay steady, even when your surroundings change.
